Any engineer with a B.Sc(Engg) degree ( or any higher degree
) from a recognized university can apply for membership. IEB
recognizes the degrees given by Bangladesh University of Engineering
and Technology ( BUET ) and Bangladesh Institute of Technologies
( BITs ). Foreign degrees are evaluated by BUET.
If
you are fresh out of the university, or a have an engineering
carreer less than three years long, then you should apply for
an Associate Membership.
After
three years of associate membership, you will get a full membership
of IEB. If you have been parsuing an engineering carreer for
more than three years and haven't apllied for membership yet,
you can apply for a full membership directly, without ever being
an associate member.
Seven
years of full membership will lead to a Fellowship. Engineering
community leaders usually emmerge from Fellows.
