5th Annual Paper Meet & 2nd Civil Engineering Congress organized by
the Civil Engineering Division (CED) of Institution of Engineers,
Bangladesh (IEB) is going to be held on 29-30 July 2022. The
contribution of civil engineers is of immense importance from the
context of Bangladesh in ensuring sustainable infrastructure
development, management of environment, and building resilience against
natural and artificial disasters, holistically in different capacities.
Therefore, the theme for this conference has been selected as ?Role of
Civil Engineers to Graduate towards a Developed and Prosperous Nation:
Bangladesh Perspective?. This conference of the CED, IEB intends to
leverage a connection between academia and industry, which seems to be
one of the utmost necessities to accelerate sustainable development in
Bangladesh. This conference will include research articles and case
studies depicting pictures overcoming past and future challenges and
thus will leave examples for both the academia and industry to ponder
over and get prepared for upcoming challenges. The unique theme of the
conference will ensure showcasing the challenges and opportunities in
the field of Civil Engineering of a developing country thriving to
become a developed and prosperous nation. Hence, the presentations and
published articles will enlighten professional engineers, planners and
policy makers of government, non-government organizations, experts from
relevant fields and make them motivated to collaborate more with
academia. This integration is a powerful tool for taking a step forward
