Computer Engineering Division, IEB is regarded as the leading professional and learned community in the field of Information and Communication Technology in Bangladesh. It was established in 2011 to keep pace with the "Vision 2021" declared by the Premier Deshrotno Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Actually Computer Engineering Division is the connecting hub of Computer Engineers, Faculties, Scientists and Technologists in the country. From the first day of commencement, Computer Engineering Division is playing significant roles in providing consultation about the ICT framework of the country to think tanks of policy makers of the Government. It is also playing a pivoral role to formulate planning of ICT infrastructure and resources to meet the challenges of the 4th Industrial Revolution when Bangladesh will transform from a non-technology based society to a technology based one. We are trying to increase the social awareness in digital activities through arranging seminars, symposium, workshops, lectures, training, publishing journals and magazines etc. We are also helping fresher ICT graduates to tune their career plan by arranging Career Talks. Currently Computer Engineering Division is working to materialize the long awaited prime demand of the ICT professional's community to introduce ICT Cadre Service. As recognition of its contribution, Computer Engineering Division has been awarded "The Best Division" in 59th IEB Convention and the award was conferred by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
